I know, s'why i chose as the actual name i'd give it.

I have an idea for modding the rigs: cut out a side window then buy some fake snow and let it bluster around inside (only negative is it will all get blown out the exausts eventually)

To get back on topic then:

If you won the THIRD place rig, what would you do with it? Keep it as it is?

If not, what would u upgrade or add in?

Since I wish I had a NAS, first priority is much more storage space.

Any of the rigs:

• 1x 2TB WD Black
• More intake fans as many as where they can sensible fit into the flow if they are not already fitted
• MS Office
• A sexy new >23" widescreen monitor
• Hunt down the discontinued Logitech wired Illuminated keyboard
• Razer Naga mouse

Keep it and sell my current one, as would be the case with any of them, I would probably look at it and see what i can do to make it more energy efficient (if possible) as my leccy bills are a bit hectic

So I think the question now for this thread would be.

Would you gut any of the rigs for your own evil deeds or would you keep them as is.

I think I would personally gut my rig and put my 6 SSD raid into the Hexa core and post video's if I won it.

Specs are: Intel Core 2 6300 1.86GHz, 4gb ram (only got 32-bit win 7 rookie mistake i know), 1GB ATI HD4350, 2 crappy 150GB HDD's, crappy motherboard etc. just plain crappy rig (if you can call it a rig)

But actually first place in this contest, I will give my entire computer which is indeed a i7 6 gigs tri-channel DDR3 1600mhz, and two Radeon 5670's Cross-fired to someone on the forums.

I just figure a second computer would help me with my studies in Net+ and Server, when I finish my A+ soon.

Why do you wan't xl-atx board again? Unless you wan't 4 way sli, and that means 4 580s, you don't need xl-atx boards. If you are going to run 2 590s or 6990s you won't need an xl-atx board I don't think, and to run all of your raids, you just need a raid card. All of that should fit in an e-atx board like the g1 assasin.
