Small talk & Chit chat

Hey Dice I'm going to get a DNA heritage test soon. You should too. Have an OC3D "what are you?" Thread lol.

Already have, Irish, German, Norwegian and Siberian, Irish is roughly 50% which includes the Norwegian but I'm unsure as to the % of the Norwegian as it was apparently very small, German is 30% and Siberian is 20%, Rough figures but I found it interesting, The Siberian is from the German side of the family, My German grandfathers grandfather or father, Unsure on that one, Was from northern Siberia, And the Norwegian is from 1 of my ancestors on the Irish side :)

My guess his ancestors share the refund trait

Hahahahahahaha this genuinely made me rofl XD

Could imagine Dice ancestors returning a 3 legged pig.

"Had one leg but it tasted funny. Sent it back for a refund"

I apparently am part english/french/Ghanian and Saudi.

All I know for myself is I'm first generation Australian from Scottish decent my sister was born in Edinburgh, my mum and dad were Glaswegian, and I was the first born out here.

What's everyones take on this, A guy I was talking to in work said he wouldn't order anything anymore from ebay considering nigh on all of it comes direct from china and doesn't want to take risks with potentially importing a contagion, Thoughts ?

Depends. Virus won't live long enough on a ship but air mail may be dodgy. Then again that costs more than the items.

Yeah unless you're buying something alive(or recently so) you should be okay, I think I read the virus likely only survives 24 hours on surfaces.

Its all good

"Because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures,"

That being said. Low risk still means potential chance. I would not rule anything out.

The new Formula E Gen 2 EVO body/aero kit has been revealed and it's gone retro, it's like they've gone from "2060" style to 2006 styled but tbh I wasn't a fan of the current "batmobile" aero kit.

Be lovely to have Vandoorne win the first world championship in this new car

Something for you DICE

the Corsair A500 Air cooler review from guru3d, since I know you were interested.

https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/corsair-a500-air-cooler-review,9.html

Outstanding results compared to even the AIOs. Might be a great purchase. Additionally, the fans are height adjustable to overcome memory heatsinks

Way ahead of you :D Already bought and installed, I was getting tired of pump noise with AIO's as well as the chance, Even if it is small, Of leaks.

Replaced the stock fans with Corsair HDRGB fans for some light and also replaced the stock TIM with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, Temps are really low and it's near silent as I keep the fans at 800RPM.

Lex Fridman managed to get the legendary Jim Keller on his AI Podcast (There has been many, many great programmers & engineers on previously too if this podcast is new to anyone). Of course currently he's working at Intel on their next arch, and he's recently designed Tesla's AI processors (After he finished his work on Zen).

I have a tab sitting open for this. Ready to watch. Just need to set some time aside. Should be an interesting listen.

Netflix is bringing Resident Evil to us. Set 26 years after the virus discovery, lets see if they can do what the witcher did to the franchise.

Game adaptations have not been that successful in the past but there are some that break that mould
