Small talk & Chit chat

eFootball 2022 has had the worst ratings review in Steam history.

haha reading the comments make the game sound like its not even in alpha stages yet. Some are even quite amusing.

If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Flatout 3, NBA2K18, and eFootball 2022, I would shoot eFootball 2022 twice.

It just occurred to me that since I was last active here I joined automotive spray paint industry, a few months from having my trade license! Thought it was a funny coincidence, I recall TTL talking about previously being in autobody if im not mistaken

So I just got back from the hospital as I have been having slightly slurred speech and after having an xray, Cat scan and a myriad of other scans and tests... it turns out I may have had a minor stroke caused by a head and neck injury that I had last year when the Corsair chair snapped in half revealing VERY sub standard metal which saw me tip backwards, Hit my head very hard against the wall and damage my neck, I weigh well under the weight limit of the chair so it's not a me issue.

The lesson here to others is do not buy "gaming" garbage.

Woah holy hell i never expected that that fall turned out to be this severe a year later, that is crazy!!

Hope you doing well again after the stroke, jeez..

Hopefully your hold up well dice and if the worst comes to the worst if they happen to make a remake of the Rocky movies then you could be in line for an acting role, jokes aside just pay attention to your general feeling and if in doubt get to the doctors when needed :)

I recently had to do a home test for my kidneys and it said abnormal so i guess that means i'm now getting old enough that things are going to start breaking down more, doctors will no doubt be on my case even more but it is what it is, i'll just keep on gaming regardless :D

Appreciate the well wishes peeps but it turned out to be a false alarm according to the doctor on the phone a few minutes ago, Someone in the hospital mixed my results up with someone else, TBH I don't expect anything better from the English health service.

Apparently I have a minor case of bells palsy which is inflammation of a nerve that controls facial muscles, It's very minor in the way that it's not outwardly noticeable but I have started slurring a little due to it but it will pass.

My neck still twinges from when the Corsair chair snapped but apparently it's not related.

So not bad just an unnecessary shock from the morons at the hospital.

Well... I'm glad it isnt that bad as it sounded yesterday! Quite a nasty screw up from the hospital there, just how does one mix up a bunch of different tests and not look at the name?!

The hospital by me is run by morons, The doctors are morons, The nurses are morons and the receptionists are morons.

There is 1 good nurse and 1 good doctor there and when I was talking to the doctor she said she is fed up of the place as no one communicates properly, Over 50% of the staff don't speak English at a reasonable level which is dangerous in a medical environment, Most have VERY questionable papers, The doctors are very quick to push surgeries and pills as they get a nice fat bonus and a hell of a lot of avoidable deaths happen because of malpractice.

An example, The 25 year old daughter of a woman in my building went to the hospital as the GP is closed due to the virus, Complaining of left breast pain, The doctor told her to take pain killers and come back in a few weeks, Eventually she got a blood test, A mammogram and told everything is fine.

A while later she decided to go get tested again, Same story "You're fine, You've likely bumped yourself".

She then goes to a different hospital a few months after as the pain started again, It's a fair few miles away and she manages to get tests done, She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given an estimated year to live, A bit more if she goes through with chemo but it is not curable, The doctor at this hospital said it could've been cured if it was gotten to early enough but due to the epic levels of malpractice at my local hospital many are needlessly dying.

Yeah the level of incompetence on display in the uk right now is just crazy, doctors and nurses being overworked, less nhs funding, no foreign help because of the restrictions put up by the government with the extreme brexit nonsense, it is just a crazy situation and still a lot of people shrug it off like its normal.

It's sad that a young woman dies so soon because people were arrogant and they couldnt be bothered to run proper tests, instead just looking for a quick "fix"

All part of the plan to sell the NHS off, They run it into the ground by cutting funding, Lowering quality of service, Not hiring doctors and nurses from the EU and eventually say "See look the NHS doesn't work" then it gets sold off to some overseas companies, Everything gets made private which most of the population won't be able to afford and the UK is straight back to Victorian levels of health service but funds which get collected currently for the NHS through taxation like national insurance will still be collected.

The UK needs a major shakeup as from an outside look it looks like it's slowly slipping into 3rd world status.

Or it could just be that they are living in unprecedented times, and are stressed out of their arses.

You can't blame monkeys for the actions of the organ grinders.

I would just be really thankful you are not a doctor or a nurse right now.

BTW. Glad you are OK. I agree with you about the govt totally, but the poor buggers at the other end are not to blame. They have been working themselves to death in some cases, with their pittance pay rise.

Specifically about this hospital, They were like this prior to the t-virus, Neighbour of mine was left in a pool of his own blood for 14 hours a year before the pandemic when he had a bad bike accident, Compound leg fracture, A woman I was talking to at the bus stop lost her husband because of malpractice, The hospital is just crap, It seems to attract the worst nurses and the worst doctors possible, Locals nicknamed it the house of horrors for a very good reason.

As for the NHS, I have 3 cousins who are fully qualified nurses in it right now and they have all said the funding has been cut to the bone along with thousands of doctors and nurses from the EU being denied placements within the NHS that could massively help.

The NHS is being run into the ground by design, All about eventually making it private.

All of the hospitals are like it dude. If you are still up where I think you are? you are currently the second worst for Covid in the UK right now.

Like I said, it's not just you. My mother has had lady problems for over two years now. To the point she is in nappies and has to sit on pads. The frustration is that she is otherwise fine, and it could have been sorted out ages ago. It hasn't though. My sister in law has had to literally badger her GP for the last month just to get her an appointment.

And that is down here, in a much quieter rural place. I was denied a flu jab, and I have had one telephone appointment with my shrink in two years. We're all suffering is what I am saying, doctors and nurses more than any one else.

And yes, I agree it has been cut to the bone. But not by the doctors and nurses. That is the govt. That is what you get when the Tories are in. Sadly that is reality. They get in, boost everything for their rich pals, destroy the country otherwise until people get with the program and f**k them off. It seems we were all a little spoiled before Covid, and it turned many people into tories. Feeling above every one else.

As we are all finding out now? no matter where we live, if we need the NHS or dental (don't even get me started on that, four years since I could get an appointment) we are all screwed unless we are private. Tory life fella.

My mum's doctor has made numerous errors. She now bleeds, and has polyps that they just had to biopsy for cancer. This could have all been ended two years ago with a hysterectomy but it did not happen due to Covid.

Police force is the same. The tories cut everything down to the bone. Maggie did in in the 80s too.

While I don't work in Primary Care, I can shed some light on what's going on in the NHS at the moment.

Everything is happening at the same time. Funding is being cut constantly, good Doctors, Nurses, and other healthcare staff are leaving to work in the private sector in droves since they are being overworked and paid a pittance compared to what private sector offers.

But also, the reverse is true as well, some of the staff within the NHS are very, very, questionable in their professionalism and duty of care. I've raised alarms about a lot of these so-called professionals multiple times but no one does anything. A GP these days needs to have a string of dead patients before they are struck off, because the shortages are so bad. It's also why a lot of GPs are trying to drag out working from home as much as possible just because they can do.

I do genuinely believe in the whole thing about the government stretching the NHS to breaking point deliberately just so more and more people willingly switch to private healthcare then once the public perceive the NHS as the massive failure that they want you to believe it is, it will be gutted and sold off. As long as the Tories stay in power, the NHS is doomed.

Also glad to hear you're alright Dice, your post about the doctor mixing your results up reminded me of an episode of Archer where a doctor does the same thing; I was expecting you to post that the doctor had got the wrong notes again, haha.

Spot on, Been saying it for years but for some reason they keep getting voted back in, Year by year over the last 10 years it gets worse and worse for the 99.99% of the populace, What's that saying ? Repeating something over and over again and expecting different results...

Appreciated thank you ^_^

I've put many complaints in about questionable professionalism/malpractice but the real kicker is, Here at least, That the people you put the complaints into are friends of the people you complain about so it never goes anywhere, It's like something from 1 of those banana republics you hear about.

Most of that is easily attributed back to the Tories, who pay doctors and nurses on the NHS a pittance. Especially when you consider the bonuses etc they all hand each other.

The pay is insulting, and the pay rise was even more so. It went further than a slap in the face IMO and was more like a punch in the stomach.

However. The problem is far more in depth than just that and the NHS. Somehow, sometime whilst I was in the USA it seems the UK turned even more lazy than it was before somehow. No one does their job properly now, no one wants to answer to any one and furthermore no one wants to be held accountable. It's like a nation of spoiled petulant children.

Case in point. Long before Covid I was desperately trying to get an appointment at my local mental health clinic before I did something stupid. I was right on the bleeding edge. I did go over it a couple of months later and took an overdose, but I digress. I spent the entire morning phoning the local mental health clinic. It was engaged. In sheer desperation I walked around there (over a mile) in my dressing gown. When I arrived I found out why I could not get through. Because the woman who runs the reception was sat there, feet on the counter, waffling on the business phone to her friend about the flat she and her hubby have bought and are renting out etc.

I complained (surprised I didn't kick her head in tbh) and nothing happened. She was still there, very much in place, when I returned after my overdose.

All I am glad of is that we are now about to get the reckoning we've been waiting for. With Brexit all of the "Sh*tty jobber dirty foreigners" are gone, and we will be back to British people having to do those crap jobs for crap pay. That or we will be forced into paying the less fortunate what they are worth (see also, lorry drivers) and our prices on pretty much everything are going to sky rocket.

We got that desperate the govt started sending out letters to German ex pats here because their driving license allows them to drive a HGV.

The nice part about all of this is -

A. I don't give a s**t.
B. We've had it coming for a long time.

It hopefully won't be long before that spotty knob end who works in customer service will have to actually provide it and answer to the customer instead of spoiled-ly crying "wahhh, I'm not allowing you to speak to me like that !".

But yes, doctors and NHS nurses? slaves. Their lives are no better than slaves.

I have been saying this exact same thing for frakking years now, Don't get me wrong there are some absolutely wonderful people in England but getting someone to actually do their job whether it's in a hospital, Dry cleaners, Restaurant, General shop or even utility company is like trying to wrestle a kodiac bear with both hands tied behind your back while being blind folded and staked to the ground.
