slow boot with raid 0

hi as some of you know i got two ocz vertex 3 240gb in raid 0 and for some reason i'm getting the same if not slower boot speeds, i never done raid before so any advice would really help thanks

alot more info would be helpful. Like mobo processor what sata ports are you using sata 2 or 3 intel/amd or third party. What size you made the raid at (ex 64k 128k yadda yadda) plus alot agree the vertez 3's were dogs to begin with.

its normal. you have too boot the raid contoller etc before windows.

oh right ok, but the windows logo still takes the same time if not more then having just one SSD? so how did you setup your pc to boot so fast?
 
make sure you have applied all tweak you can for opsys and ssds. Like going to msconfig and make sure you have it set to boot on all 8 cores. My raid 0 ssd's on win 8 boots pretty darn quick. I havent timed it but its fast lol. Compared to other rigs in my home.

ok right there are so many people out who say do this and do that it's hard to find what's real and what's bs, do you know know any guides that you have that will help?

no prob I just googled ssd tweaks when I did mine and ended up with one I use for ssd's and win 7 most agree win 8 is already pretty optimized for ssd usage and not much is needed. This is what I use. But not everything is taken as gospel I hashed out my own version for instance the services tweaks I dont apply all of them. But take a gander at it and see what you think.
