SLI Blank browser problem

So guys in the last two days I was doing some gaming (its been some time since I gamed), I noticed SLI had been disabled which I didn't do, it sometimes just goes to disabled. So went to enable it again and everything works fine in games, but when browsing the interwebz (chrome :)) the screen just goes blank, just the window not windows too, this happens on all tabs so to recover I have to completely close chrome and reopen it.

When I disable Sli, everything runs as it should but I don't really want to do that...

Now I was running on 332.21 and now I've updated to 334.67 Beta drivers, nothing changed. Should I uninstall all the drivers and start from scratch? any suggestions welcome :)

Drivesweeper and then re-install the 334.67 beta drivers. Better yet, forget the beta drivers and install the latest WHQL drivers.

When you update the drivers that resets the SLI to disabled, caught me out once!

If you are still having problems, switch the positions of your cards on your motherboard (easier still, plug your monitor into the other card and open chrome). It could be one card is on the way out and when enabled the acceleration provided by the gpu gives the behaviour you see. However, you say it's fine in games so it's unlikely.

sounds to me like a bad driver install. Do a full clear, sweep, and reboot session and then do a full clean install using manual settings and report back.

I'm going to have to write up a post similar to the one on EVGA forums that someone did, it's a monster of a post but I think it might help.

The issue seems to be fixed, uninstalled everything, ran CCleaner to clean the registries and ran Driver sweeper and ticked the box to the delete the C:/Nvidia folder and also did a manual search myself to delete any trace of the nvidia drivers.

Then installed again the whql drivers and did a custom install and chose the clean install just to be safe. Restarted, enabled sli and did about an hour browsing the interwebz and seems to be working fine. Games work fine too, tested some steam in-home beta streaming, more on that in the relevant thread :).

Lol got trolled, literally two seconds ago the screen flashed black and the browser went blank. Lets get to hardware testing before formatting my baby :)

Guys could it be something related to "Bettersurf", this extension keeps getting installed on its own, I only visit this site, facebook and youtube and yet it keeps popping up on my antivirus (I use microsoft security essentials). I also noticed an extension called media player got installed...

Still no solution guys inc. alot of swearing, formatted this shit pc 4 times in the past two days, 3 times with a usb pendrive which led to an unstable os, hanging on shutdown and failing to update, then another format with an oldish optical drive which is what I'm using now.

anyway enabled sli and opened the browser, blank browser within 5 minutes, so I switched the pc off and switched the cards, tried again, same problem. So I installed steam and launched LA Noire, played without a hitch so I'm guessing the cards are ok. I'm not sure what to do at this point........ my only thought is that something is dying :(

Mine does that to. Its just Chrome, no other browsers. Just un-maximize and maximize the window again and its good to go.

Sometimes it can go hours without and incident and then one time it can take 30 seconds.
