SLI 590s with bad FPS in NFS shift 2?

I still think dual GPU cards AND SLI/ Crossfire still need some work before they can truly unlock their potential.

Well i tried shift 2 with just one card and it was the same exact lag at 17-20 fps as it was with quad sli, it even gives me the same fps with single monitor as well... It really is driving me mad, all drivers are updated etc... I saw ONE post were a guy was saying the cards were not getting enough power and pluging in the molex "helper" cable above the PCI-e slots to feed more power to them helped... But i wouldnt think that would be a problem? Also i think one thing is that when you did that crysis 2 video ttl you did it in dx9 with the other settings and no tesslation pack etc. Thats why you are hitting 90fps with dual 590s.

try adding the extra power, i also don't think that will do much, but you never know, worth a try.

Also try something else, not just those games. Try benchmarks and run the sam expirements, because the games might just not be optimized for dual gpu cards.

Okay guys here are the results. STILL have only tested Crysis 2 fully. As SHIFT 2 wont even change from the 18-20fps no matter what setup you can think of.

I tested both cards and yes they both do work, and it does seem that i am getting some scaling on SLI after these results i am just thinking i should be getting more?

So there is scaling happening but it still isnt that great off fps on a game i SHOULD be able to maxx out with over 1500 dollars in GPU's... I think im missing something or doing something a bit wrong?

have you considered selling your cards? and then with all the cash buy either 2 or 3 gtx580's?

of course as a last resort
