Sleeving questions (paracord)

I just bought 200ft of red 550 paracord (absolute steal at £8 with postage), I've noticed it is hard to work with but I have seen many people using it and the results are great.

Now I just need to know how thick this stuff is, I am looking online and some places say 3.2mm and some say 4mm. I need to know so I know what heat shrink to buy, which takes me on to my next question. Please could someone point me in the direction of some good heat shrink.

Oh and it came with 100ft of midnight blue which I have no use for so I'll be putting that up here for free when it arrives.

if you're doing power cables, it looks 100x better WITHOUT sleeve
sleeve is okay on regular braiding as you need it. but paracord will melt and hold just fine without it.

I also suggest you pickup this http://www.pccablesleeving.com/Anti-Tangle-Tool-Aluminum-01.htm It's absolutely worth it's weight in gold for paracord sleeving, makes a long job take, litterally, seconds.

He ships just about everywhere I believe, it seems like a lot of money for something so trivial but you'll be thankful you have one when you try it. Even for normal braiding, makes things a lot neater, faster and smoother

Just seen paracord without shrink in the "Heat-shrink Free Paracord Sleeving" video in that link you sent me and you are definitely right about it looking better without it.

Also, I can't thank you enough for showing me that tool! I was actually dreading the thought of sleeving until now and only £9, that is with USPS First Class Mail.

Made my life so much easier ^_^

Heh, yes the 100ft of blue will go for free, SuB gets it for awesome answer plus extra help, if interested. Other than that, not sure how I decide, maybe first come first served and all that (as long as postage isn't a costly)
