The internet don't even have information about these boards? But i'm sure you will keep us posted

Okay, was hoping to see some pictures or features

the motherboards are about a year from coming out, they will release with the CPUs that support them. I'll write more about them as i find out more.

Its like omg Z77 was 1155, then Z87 & Z97 is 1150 and with these new CPU is socket 1151 they keep jumping around with the socket numbers imo would have been better if they went with like 1125 or something or even 1100, thats just my 2 cents

thats not quite how it works..

I think that they need the plus one pin to be able to handle DDR4 mermoy. :)
If im right i will laught loudly. :) The new chipset is again lack of PCIe lanes so I guess I was right again chosing 2011-3 socket to build on.

So when is Broadwell expected? They plan ahead don't they...

Will Skylake be a big performance increase over the original Haswell do you think?

I believe Broadwell is/was due end of the year (more likely sometime early next year)

As for performance increase my educated guess would be a incremental bump just like every other time

Looking at the prices intel have on their cpu's I think my next upgrade will have to be an amd so it will probably be a while

Not sure what I'll go for yet, haven't got an immediate need to upgrade atm being on Haswell but we shall see how Skylake does.

Skylake will prob be my next upgrade since i'm still on good ol' sandybridge. Not that it's struggling as of yet
