Simple Corner Setup

So this is my little work area. Unfortunately it is in my room and very compact. I have to slide in and reverse out on the chair to get in and out lol :).

Was living with a few friends, but as there were 4 of us (lads age 20-25), no where else would rent us a house. So, I had to move back in with my mum for a bit until I can sort myself out. Anyway.. enough rambling here are a few pics;

Here is my little HP Microserver, which I use for storage and media sharing. It runs Arch Linux on a 60GB SSD, and has a 1TB (data) and 2TB (media) drive. Should be adding some more space to this soon as the 2TB is nearly full.

Them image links aren't working :(

I'd be curious to see the HP Microserver, and know how you get on with it. Keep seeing them on Ebuyer and the like.

Images fixed :)

I really like the HP Microserver. It's small, almost silent (Just one fan at the back & passive cooled CPU). I used an SSD and tucked it underneath the DVD Drive to keep the 4 front bays free. Only downside is that it's only SATA2, but everything is accessed via the network so I wouldn't really notice any difference with SATA3.

It's definitely worth looking at if your thinking of getting a NAS. I got it on Ebuyer for £130, so total bargain.

I like it, Nice and clean, 1 thing you could do though, Zip ties or Velcro wraps for your wires, I did it and it honestly makes even the messiest of rigs appear crystal clean :)

Here's an example for you :)

I took to my desk with a circle cutter thing, and created some holes to thread the cables through. There's one lonely bit of velcro on the cables at present; I plan to velcro it properly later.

Velcro is awesome.
