Silverstone TD04 Pumpless Liquid Cooler

Yes that's right, Silverstone has revealed a pumpless CPU liquid cooler. It comes complete with a waterblock, radiator, tubing, fans, but one part is different; the liquid inside the tubing. Traditionally, this would be a liquid which circulates through the pump, block and rad, but that's not how this works.

Essentially, the tubing is like the heat pipes you find in CPU and GPU coolers, because it has a very low evaporation point. This means that when the water is heated by the block, it evaporates up to the rad, where it is cooled by the fans. This has not been seen before, and actually does not provide very high performance, as it only has a TDP of 200W. Clearly, this is not designed with extreme overclocking in mind, but is an excellent choice if you are looking for a low-noise cooler.

Specs
Manufacturer: Silverstone
Product Name: TD04
Dimensions: 120mm(W) x 280mm(L) x 35mm(D)
TDP: 200W

As depicted in the below image, the tubing is clear, which means that you can actually see the bubbling water. What do you guys think about this and would you consider it in your own system?

Almost witchcraft! But in reality just some form of vapour cooling, we already know Cooler Master are tinkering with this concept for future AIOs. I'd be interested to see some benchmarks later though.

Trust good ol' silverstone to do something different :')
Shame it doesn't look amazing but I'm sure its got some way to go.

Yep, vapour cooling is exactly what it is. Benchmarks should be interesting, as I'd like to see how it compares with air coolers.

I do like the idea behind this, they remove a point of failure and noise by removing the pump.

I look forward to seeing how this performs.
