SilverStone Heligon HE01 anyone?

I just bought the SilverStone Heligon HE01 CPU Cooler with 140mm fan ( $64.99 after $10.00 rebate @ Newegg ) for my air cooled rig. It was either this or the Noctua NH-D14 but I went with the HE01 because of the ram clearance in it's design.

Performance -

I'm no pro Bench-marker/Tester like Tom, so I'll leave it up to him to review it's performance. ( Tom, why you no test it??? =D )

It's keeping my i5 3570k at idle temps of 28c - 35c OC'D to 4.0ghz

I'll include some pics. ( Notice those tall Corsair Vengeance ram sticks =D, it has 1/4" of clearance on my GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H ).

Can you re-post the images, I'm thinking of getting it but I have high ram also so your images would really help. As for benchmarks if you google "Review: Intel Ivy Bridge CPU 7-way cooler group test", click first link, you will see it beats out the rest in cooling but is the worst when it comes to noise. I'm hoping i can drop the fan speed and balance this out.

I saw it today, never really heard of it before.

As said, re-do the images as they aren't showing.

Also, if your temps are that good, why not be more aggressive on the overclocks?
You should be able to get 4.4/4.5ghz easily out of it.

Worth the money if you need a cooler that is not going to get in the way of the ram sticks. I also mounted it onto a MSI M-Power board that has some pretty big heat sinks and it still fits with no problems.

Thanks for posting pics and info rubix3

Durability?

Hello,

First time poster & reader here.

I'm considering the HE01. I frequently travel with my rig and it can take some knocks. I've seen some air coolers that will wiggle about. Is the mount on the HE01 sturdy? Would I need to worry about things moving, getting damaged, etc?

Thanks!

From what I remember the brace that holds it down in the middle is quite stiff.

This however doesn't mean that "It won't move."

Since it's sitting on top of thermal compound its going to have its slight wiggle room but the brace in the center isn't going to allow it to move all that much.

I hand tighten mines down.

The fan clips clamp on pretty strong as well.

Maybe port5900 can share his experience.
