SickleFlow Buzzing

Hi, I've got a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 case and I just bought 2 blue Cooler Master SickleFlow fans and hooked them up to the fan controller built into my case. They work well at full power but are very, very loud; so when I turn then down via the controller, they make an even louder buzzing noise. This happens at minimum and middle power settings. So if I don't want the buzzing I have to turn them to full which they are naturally loud at. Should I return the fans?

this is an inherent issue on the SF fans. under-volting them. as with other fans
like GT-15, some deltas, and even cougar PWM fans. a click, grind or whine.
i investigated some of the issues to be the armature (field windings) stacks. used
some RC electical motor capacitors on some to calm/cure the ills, but some just
made noise.

So will I be able to return them or am I stuck?

EDIT: are there any other LED fans that don't get whine when changing speeds?

i'll try get an aftermarket cpu cooler and put them on that, then

That's just fan controllers for you. Coolermaster fans are terrible with them.

I used to have Xigmatek fans on my old fan controller - they worked alright.

But you are honestly better just getting voltage resistors or something instead and undervolting them properly

i have 2x 140mm and 1x 230mm specter pro led, on my haf 922, i ussually run 230 on minimum via contoller and 140's on medium, no whine or noises made even on max the specters are very quiet
