Should i go for a 570?

Hey guys

I am new here and just want to say i love the video reviews and of course the written reviews

Just need some opinions really.

I have this system currently

CPU: AMD Phenom II 965 C3 @ 3.4GHz (No point in overclocking currently)

Motherboard: Asus M3N-HD/HDMI (Nvidia Nforce 750A chip-set)

Ram: Kingston Value 2x2GB DDR2 800

GPU: XFX Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB

PSU: Corsair VX550 550 Watt PSU

Monitor LG W2242S 1680x1050 (Upgrade to 24" soon for 3D Vision)

Crucial c300 64GB SSD boot drive.

My budget is up to about £250.

I am looking for a card which can play all current titles with maxed details on my 1680x1050 monitor and also be able to place those titles on a newer monitor using 3D vision.

The 570 appears to suit me well and should be a huge upgrade.

However guys let me know what you think you may have a far better suggestion

570 is the best option for £250 and will definietly max everything at 1680x1080 you could save a bit and go for the 560ti which would still do the job but the 570 would be better in the long run.
 
Check the amps on your psu to make sure that the current on your psu is high enough to support the 570

other than that the 570 is a great card it'll be my next upgrade I thinks but as SieB said the 560 is also a great card if it suits your needs well enough can save some cash keep it away for the next upgrade? or some new RAM ect ect

My psu should be fine I think it's got 41A on the 12V

I did look at the 560 but I sort of want to aim for a longer lasting solution and highest 3d vision sollutiobn.

Any other suggestions would be great any particular place you would pick one up ?

I like Aria for my stuff, Scan have a good rep aswell.

are all ones I'v used in the past and only ever had one issue with scan so just find the cheapest out of those

I'm lovin my 570 so far I can see it scores higher and I can feel it plays better (not that the 560 was bad) the 570 is just better. I just wish my 3dmark scores showed it but due to my cpu score dropping 40k points the benches are lower but the gpu score is higher lol but again I'm lovin it so far and dayum nice low temps compared to my 560

well since I finally got it to unlock the voltages it oc quite well running her at 830 amt and no signs of it not likiong it yet havent tried pushing further yet as still trying to sort out why my cpu score took a flush down the loo. You'll have to use the Afterburner beta to get the volts unlocked. stock is 737 and 1.00volts running her at 830 wit 1.063 volts atm
 
With the name "OC ANARCHY" you'd imagine it must be fast. This would go with the guy who's got the Aerocool Evil Black Edition.
