I bought 2 liters og Ekoolant blood red yesterday and when i got home i filled a little liquid into a tiny jar to see the color better.. then i noticed there were small particles in the coolant that fell to the bottom after a few mins after noget moving the jar.. should i run it though a coffe filter to remove the particles or just use it? Or maybe buy something else ? On a tight budget and decideret to buy a d5 and "cheap" premixed coolant instead of mayhems and a cheaper pump so got no money for new coolant tbh..

got any distilled water? use it to test and confirm operation. if it passes, drain
and coffee filter the coolant. is it possible the jar was contaminated, prior? replace
with red coolant..

Yeah destilled water is no problem. The jar was clean and i can see the particles in the ek bottles too. Could i ruin the coolant if i filter it? If its the anti-corrosive ingredient or the biocide ?

i will run it though a coffee filter to remove the particles, shouldnt it be enough to take the worst ? Yeah ive allready looked at xspc's red coolant but my local store did not have it in stock :( not getting mayhems, its expensive and i risk having the same colir issue as ttl.. not worth the extra money

I don't visit the OC3D forums too often so I'm surprised to see everyone hating on Mayhems when only a few months ago everyone was raving about it.
What happened?

Ahh, I can see why you're not going to be using it then. I'm assuming it didn't affect the cooling though, just the colour?

hasn't broken into the system, yet to do the change-over. so no one knows
what lurks in those blocks and radiators.

Tom has promoted their coolants and dyes for awhile and when it came to
his personal memorial build (promoted internationally), he gets poo-pooed
(from the poop brown in the reservoir that is supposed to be black) in his
system prep. Tom gave them his accounting of the prep and cause and the
manufacturer response was less than adequate to help out in this situation.

Aye, I just watched the video and fair enough. Completely agree if that's the the whole situation with Mayhems.
