i like amd cause of the price...and they just seem to push more for me i mainly just play games and photoshop though, and do a couple of windos xp mods

And they aren't furnaces/oven's/stoves. They also don't drain all the electricity in teh neighbourhood, and they tend to get along with Air Conditioning unit's better .

I hate fanboys....man Intel didn't distroy the earth... Why does everyone hate them. I have built countless Intel systems for clients and they love them, same with AMD.. And about the heat.. Who friggin cares? Its just heat

AMD lacks in everything except gaming from what I've seen.

But I like Intel and AMD (But I do quite a bit more encoding than gaming so Intel for me)

Yes a balanced view would be much better. I have a feeling that my next system will be an intel one (SFF shuttle for TV tuner/ripping DVD's etc) so yeah

If Intel can pull their head out of their ass for the next round of cpu's then they should have a killer offering... As of right now they have nothing that truely impresses me.

I believe AMD's newest chips beat intels in Everything.

Except Mp3 encoding, where intels were a tiny ass bit faster? Realistcaly though, when your talking about such a small difference...and the comparable AMD is faster in everything else and cheaper, I see no reason why I would ever go back to intels.

Photoshop CS2 v9.0 run's a helluva lot faster on my AMD than it did my P4 2.4C @ 3GHz w/HT.

FFS Nick haven't I told you that you can't compare a 2.4C with an AMD 3000+? Even if it is overclocked to 3GHz.
