Could any point me in the right direction(forum post ect..) for this problem of HDD size over 137Gig.

Bios states 500Gig, windows device manager, under disk drives, volumes shows cap @ 476938MB & UNALLOCATED SPACE @ 345876MB. see attachment.

Got windows xp pro sp2, mobo Abit AW9D-MAX, western digital cav16 500gig HDD.

Can someone please help been to Windows site just end up going round in circles, think it's a software problem but not sure.:banghead:

I don't see the problem..... You just haven't formatted the rest of the drive as D:\, youve set up a partition. Go into disk manager and format the unallocated space (as NTFS)

Is it formatted with fat32? there are some limitations with this filesystem. I would (if it isnt) format it with ntfs!

It is already set as NTFS drive "C". Didn't want to partition the drive might uninstall then re install to see what went wrong, got a 300gig on other pc with XP home that sees all 300gig, just can't remember what i did to get that.

Thanx anyway

I would just delete all partitions and start again.

If you want 1 partition just create a new NTFS partition that is 100%, or I think you can resize the current partition using partition magic or similar.
