Shop Stock Levels

Before I begin this is in the rant forum so obviously this is an insignificant thing so don't get too serious when reading it

So I'm starting a new computer build and I've ordered lots of parts and I'm so annoyed by how much stuff is out of stock. I've ordered from Amazon, Specialtech and Scan.co.uk just to try and get everything I need because not one of them has all the things I need in stock and there is some stuff that not any of them have.

For example, I've ordered some Monsoon Fittings, an NZXT Fan Controller, 2 EK 480mm Rads and 8 Corsair SP120 Fans.

All of these items are out of stock. I ordered the Fittings, Fan Controller and Radiators from Scan.co.uk who don't even have a lead time on when they'll be getting those items. The EK 480mm radiators I can't get anywhere, no one has stock.

In the case of the Monsoon fittings their store said they had stock, I only ordered two of them, but as soon as I ordered I received an email from them telling me they actually weren't in stock and they don't have an ETA for more.

So my build is probably delayed by a month maybe even longer. Amazon were good with my fans thankfully, they were out of stock but they managed to get new ones in within 9 days from my order date.

The most frustrating part of this is that although Scan doesn't have almost half my order from them they've still charged me the full amount for the whole lot. I've not got any of my order yet, even the stuff they do have. Amazon doesn't do this they charge you only when they actually get the stuff and are ready to ship it out. Very peculiar.

Anyway this is just a rant it's not meant to be serious, 1st world problems and all that. ^_^

Ive had the same problem over and over again with scan they have terrible stock control i guess they are trying to import small amounts at a time of most things to gain maximum profit and don't end up with something that goes out of date and cant then sell, but i have also had good experiences with scan.

I only ever had good experiences with both Scan and SpecialTech thankfully. However, I ordered a multimeter from Amazon over a week ago with 1st class delivery, and it still hasn't arrived despite being dispatched a week ago, so they've given me a refund. Luckily I found the exact same item on eBay cheaper BNIB :) All's well that ends well.

Agreed. This isn't the first time I've ordered something from Scan and it says it's in stock only to be told actually it wasn't. It's frustrating.

But ya know I'll wait, I'm patient.
