Asus P7P55-E Pro
4gb of G-skill Ripjaws ddr3-1600 7-7-7-24 @ 1.6v (with xmp) 9-9-9-24 ddr-1333 @ 1.5v (bios default)
Intel I5 750
OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W
XFX Radeon HD 5770
So all of my parts came for my new PC build, I set it up like usual, booted it up and installed windows 7 home premium 64bit. I installed all of my latest drivers and software.
My problem is this:
When I first had my computer on, everything works and runs just fine. I can play games and other programs without a hitch. When I turn my PC off for the night the next time I turn it on Windows will give me a message that says Windows failed to start, a recent hardware change may have caused it. It then gives me two options:
- Startup repair
- start windows normally
If I were to choose start windows normally, it would not boot, i need to run startup repair first. Once this is done it will boot into windows. I would have to put my windows install disk in and run the repair option because I would get a memory_management BSOD.
I have no idea why I have no problems unless I have my computer off for an extended period of time (like 4 hours). I have tried memtest on each stick of RAM and there were no errors. Right now I took 1 stick of RAM out and i'm leaving my pc off for 4 hours and then starting it up, if it doesn't replicate the problem then I will do the same thing with the other stick of ram. If it boots up no problem then I'm guessing the problem isn't my RAM, it has something to do with using 4gb at once. I had been using XMP to run my ram at the factory settings but then I turned it off to see if that was the problem and no luck. I also flashed my bios to the latest to no avail.
Do you guys have any idea wtf is going on or what I should try?
