This is what all fans should adopt. Only one I've seen using that sort of plug is a Sanyo Denki.

It'd allow for us to make our own length cables for it :)

Nice idea, but for fan controllers might be a pain, using say 7v and for some reason you want to slow it down, you might stall the fan. Still it is an excelent idea, and I do love Sharkoon fans, not great for watercooling but for air they are my weapon of choice

Smart idea. The 9v option is sensible. Should be a good compromise between airflow and noise level.

And the 60mm cables might come in handy when connecting them to a fan controller.

Hopefully this'll catch on, like modular PSUs. :)

Pretty innovative idea really. I know Ive had a few fans before which came with a different connector to what I wanted and its pretty annoying. Should solve problems like that :)

What a stupidly-simple idea.

Brilliant and not outragously overpriced along with it.

Gonna have to start investing in some Sharkoon stuff - shockingly I don't think I've had any !

I just realised I can do this to my existing fans!

Probably won't look as nice as the Sharkoons but I'd have modular ones at least :D

Id not looked at the price! Assuming the fan is pretty good (from what I hear Sharkoon is alright) thats quite a bargain!
