Shadow of Mordor requires 6GB of VRAM?

So, the benchmark is cooler than I thought, it automatically records all your frames, memory usage, fps etc etc into a csv/excel file thing so you can graph it easily :) Pretty damn impressive for a 'bad' 'console port'. At this point, the more I play this game, the more impressed I am

Runs smooth on my mediocre hardware at home too. Usually I suffer bad FPS dips but not so far.

The only thing I don't really like so much is that you tend to stick to geometry a bit too much due to it always trying to find a path to climb/traverse but you get used to it.

Also I had like 4 war-chiefs just appear on me (well I was in a stronghold :p ) they killed me (well a spear did) now they've all been promoted and really hate me

Hows the game for playability then? Is it worth buying or a boring slash your way to the end kinda game?

Depends what you're after, I don't normally play 'assasins creedy' games as they are too repetitive.
But this feels different every time, each fight is a little different and each time some no-name uruk kills you, they get promoted and challenge someone else. It's got some familiar mechanics but for the most part it's new and feels fresh.

When you fight multiple enemies they don't wait turns they just bum rush you and you have to react to each one it's great.

You get XP for dying , lol

I'm really enjoying it put it that way :)

Ooooo I'm so tempted! Whats the story supposed to be about? Your ultimate goal?

Hahaha I dunno if thats good or bad.

Nah there is a stronger storyline in there but the game feels good quality, the voice acting makes it really good. Listening to the Orcs talk amongst themselves is pretty funny and then I unleash death on them from the shadows like a badass.

I was wondering how much vram it used at 4k? Would anyone happen to know? As I have 2 strix 980's on the way and am not sure whether or not I should just return them.

How many times have you heard the same line being said by npc's? How many different lines do they have before they repeat. I heard Monolith got like dozens and dozens of peope to voice act and alot of different lines they recorded. It really bugs me when you have played like 3 hours of a game and then you know all of the enemies lines. Sounds awesome anyways, man I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

I haven't played enough yet to notice or they have achieved enough selection of dialogue.

I don't think this was a console port tbh. Seems more like a PC port. There's hardly anything wrong with the game.. it just works. No bugs so far as i can tell and its pretty optimized(not running ultra textures at least).

After a few hours in the game you get used to having 5 captains and a few warchiefs popping up at the same time.. i just run away and use shadow strike kill:p

Worth buying 100%. I originally bought it on steam and found it on CDkeys for $39 and got it refunded on steam(which only puts the money back into your steam wallet.. BS) and bought the season pass on steam(why not) and spent barely anymore money than i did on steam for both. Worth it. A very fun game

Well I got to 30% and my PC starts lagging. Been doing it a lot lately, restarted and after 10mins still with lag Steam exits.

I think I need a new SSD.
