Setting Cpu fan to Zero

Anyone tried setting the minimum speed of Cpu fan PWM to zero in bios ? , 2600k goes down to 1600mhz at idle , so set fan in bios not to come on at all , get temps of 28c average across all cores and less noise .:)

Ramps up fine under any load

Noctua UP-12 cooler .

i've turned the fan control off on the CPU fan (fan did not function) cores got hot as hell.
dunna know how you think you can maintain 28° with fan off. now if you mean curve the fan profile
against temperature... this has been a practice for a long time. but for a stock fan heatsink
is almost senseless, because 99% of the 2500K/2550K/2600K/2700K owners are going to
overclock with an aftermarket heatsink fan or liquid cooling solution.

Yeh, some of the big air coolers such as the D14 are able to run passively if you use LLC and offset voltages. Saves a lot on temps and noise to do it
