hi im new to the forums and would like some help and specs on a server build.
my current set up is a hp microserver n40l with 3x4bay icydocks connected for extra storage,running whs2011 with storagepool.
im going to keep this as my backup.
new server would be running windows 8 to use the storage space so i can have one large pooled drives which i will mirror.
server will be used for storage and running logitech server and be used with my media streamers.
case i would like would have usb3 outputs/esata on back for extra storage expansion in the future,i would want as much storage in the case as possible and room for a ssd for the o/s.
im a complete noob at this and would like help to spec up a server at low cost as possible.and items i would need server will run 24/7
1st choice would be a 24 bay hotswap and expanderbackplane like the one x-case do.http://www.xcase.co.uk/4u-rackmount...nder-backplane-due-7th-feb-389-00-x-case.html
2nd choice would be something like the fractal r4 case with the 8 bay.
any other suggestions welcome.
