Sent item back to Scan, They say they didnt recieve it ???

There customer service is awful,I placed an order on monday at 2pm and paid for next day delivery before 10am,at that point all items were in stock.Later that night at 9.10pm i had a text saying 2 of the 15 items were out of stock,so the whole parcel will be delayed.
So the next morning I phoned them to change the out of stock items, after the girl checked with the warehouse, she said it will be with me in the morning.Later that night at 9.10pm again i had another text saying that the items that I had to change, that they actually checked on, were now out of stock.
So another phone call on wednesday morning I changed more items, and yet again they phoned the warehouse to check, and yes they were.Little did I no they weren't.
You get the picture buy now.Buy this point I'm tamping, and yet again 9pm another text arggggg my god again same story. It finally came friday morning. To make things worse After phoning them about 7 times in total I'm going to be well out of pocket cos they use a 01 premium rate number.Plus this being my second order from them it happened on the first time same story out of stock items being advertised as being in stock. What is the point in texting that time of night when there is nothing you can do about it cos they close at 5.30.They are in my little black book of hexes now, never again will I use them not even for a pen.

Well i guess i will stick to overclockers.co.uk afterall as i already get free shipping with them and never had a problem in 6 years of shopping with them.

Good to hear you have way to get help there. Good luck.

Patronize Tom's sponsors, you help yourself and help him too.

Looking at the prices im already quite impressed although they do not have such a huge collection like some others do but i will concentrate most of my rig shopping at Aria ^^

I've always gone to scan and never had a problem, I usto go to ebuyer but I won a compitition at euro gamer and got free first class delivery with them but not had a single problem!

Aria's good but make no mistake their RMA's take ages. I've returned RAM and a Hard Drive with them previously and the Hard Drive took over a month before they even dispatched a replacement and the RAM took just over half a month after they had received it before they dispatched replacements.

The best in my opinion for returns is actually Amazon. If you need to return something they not only pay for your return, they let you print out the label put it on your box and have one of their courier partners come to your house and pick the package up. Then when you get a refund they refund whatever you paid originally for them to send the item to you on top of the price of the item itself. Oh and it's fast.

And ya know, it's Amazon. They have practically everything.

Well as long as i know arias time frame on returns it doesnt really bother me, Update on the scan problem, so far ive sent a print off from the post office to say that it was signed for by a scan employee, of which they are saying doesnt work for them and theyve never heard of and "Action Against Fraud" are now helping me with this, an off shoot of the office of fair trade.

Headache of a week :(

well i think its all down to luck ive had no issues with scan and nothing but problems with aria, so im the opposite, i avoid aria, but again, different people have different experiences, upto the person to make up their own mind.

i had a broken asus hd7950 Direct CUII TOP V2 and i sent it back to the vendor. a few days later the replacement arrived, the package was ripped on the side, when i opened it the molex to pcie 6pin adapter was missing, the plastic covering for the interface was missing, there were some heavy marks of screws on the slots (the preowner must have had a pretty bad day when he screwed that card in) and when i finally put it in my rig it and benchmarked it, it would go up to 100°C even though the fans were at 3000+ rpm. they honestly sent me a used broken card for replacement. gonna send it back tomorrow.

Action Fraud - are good takes some time but they will sort stuff out my dad had problems once and they sorted everything out.

Heard this from a few people, quite weird considering its a well established company, you think they would avoid this type of thing to keep their reputation clean.

Got in contact with them 2 days ago so heres hoping :)

Finally heard back from scan saying they "Found" my keyboard and will issue me a replacement, Annoying thing is though they can only offer me a keyboard that is £30 less and non mechanical, Not a big issue as they are following trade law, At least its been sorted out, Never buying a thing from them ever again.

Action fraud are very good. I spend quite a bit of time on a trading forum and when the trades go bad and people get them involved they usually get it sorted.
