Seasonic or Corsair ?

Hi guys,

I want your opinion about two power supplies: A Corsair AX1200 or a Seasonic Platinum 1000w.

I don't know what buy, they seem very efficient.

The Seasonic unit is almost certainly quieter. They're both very good power supplies obviously.

if you dont need all the extra power from the 1200 id get the seasonic, its more efficient and they generally are of a little better quality then the corsairs. i'd assume its more expensive though..

Both are very good psu`s.But the AX1200 is totaly awesome.

Have two sapphire hd5970 4gb running full tilt in benches,and i have peaks at 1.5kw and the AX1200 still have fairly cold exhaust

Corsairs = Seasonic with a different label. Although the choices you've made are the only PSUs that are rebrands. Have you consider getting the Seasonic 1250w Gold?

Basically Seasonic made PSU's for corsair and that corsair just put the label on, they pretty much the same. I will go for Corsair cuz they have better braid on cables

Corsair have used seasonic for some of their best psu`s,but the AX1200 is build by Flextronics.

Until then I had a Corsair AX850 power supply. I'm almost finished my new setup and I give my old setup to my girlfriend...with my Corsair AX850 of course.

I would like to build a SLI as Nvidia may wish to present these new graphics cards.

I am very pleased with my Corsair power supplies but I feel that Seasonic is a little better in quality and performance. But I do not know much about the brand except that it makes some Corsair power supplies.

Zeal I had not noticed that there was a model of 1250W. It could also be a good choice.

To my knowledge the AX850 is built on a Seasonic X Series platform.
