I've been looking for this for a while.

But I wonder if anyone can help me with this.

I am looking for a cheap but reliable 1366 motherboard.

That supports Tri-channel memory at 1600mhz.

Has SLI capabilities that run both PCI 16x at 16x speed's.

And with enough spare 16x slots to support a 8x card and two 1x card's.

XD

It's going to be a home server and also media center for my house.

I don't want to waste my memory though, and I plan on getting some Nvidea card's to stick into it, that have 3D capabilities so when we.

Upgrade the TV we can watch all the movie's in 3D.

Anyone think they can help me on my quest.

To seek the holy grail.

Also what CPU do you guy's recommend?

Please and Thanks.

So you think you will need 3 16x slots and 2 1x slots? or just 2 16x and 2 1x?

There is no way you will need sli for 3d movies something like a gtx 460 will handle 3d movies MORE than fine, a 440 or 450 should handle it perfectly fine aswell.

So for the gpu, 8x card and 2 1x cards thats 4 pci-e 16x slots or 2 pci-e slots and 2 pci-e 1x slots?

The asus sabertooth for $190 would be a good solid choice with 3 16x, 2 1x and 2x usb3 and 2x sata 6gbs, so mabey set it up like below?

1x slot - 1x card

16x slot - gpu

pci - empty

16x slot - 8x card

1x slot - 1x card

16x slot - empty

OR if you wanted to just go with cheap as possable there is the asrock x58 extreme for $165 with 3 16x and 2 1x, its not a bad motherboard but is an aging board now with no usb 3/sata 6gbs.

1x slot - 1x card

16x slot - 8x card

1x slot - 1x card

pci -

16x slot - gpu

pci - empty

16x slot - empty

Most people here would probably say the extra $25 for the asus is WELL worth the extra spend.

Both prices are off of newegg btw, you may be able to find them cheaper on other etailers.

It's going to be a home server / Media center, if I felt like being lazy I'd play my game's from it.

Hence the reason why I am lol.
