It's a good idea but flash memory ony has a limited number of cycles in its lifetime. They might be a lot of cycles but that will fail a lond time before the drive.

It depends how the drive uses the NAND cache as well as the ram.

It seems that a HD with flash cache would just be a bad idea given it has a lifespan... Seems as if it would continuously being RW'd eating up it's lifespan quite quickly.

Then again, I'm sure they have something figured out or else they wouldnt have created such a product.
