Scythe Slip Stream fans

New fans for my rig

Right so I'm probably going to get two Scythe Slip Stream fans to replace the Antec TriCools I have on my Prolimatech Mega Shadow.

I was thinking of the Scythe Slip Stream 1900 RPM fans, but I just have one question about them.

Can I run them at lower speeds? Because there's a 500, 800, 1600 and 1900 RPM model in the store I'm buying from which makes me wonder if they can only run at one speed or not. Because I don't want to run mine at 1900 RPM at all times.

Now I'm probably going to replace my case fans too (those are the stock antec tricools and one antec big boy, I'm replacing them with Xigmatek fans) so I'm going to get a zalman zm-mfc1 plus fan controller to control the speed of the fans.

So I will ask my question again: Will I be able to run the Scythe Slip Stream 1900RPM fans at a lower speed should I wish to do so?

Edit: Another question for you guys. Since I will be replacing the 3 120MM fans that came with Xigmatek, it would look half-done if I wouldn't replace the 200MM top fan. Therefore I am replacing that fan aswell. Now I was thinking of the Xigmatek XLF-2003 200MM fan, since it would match the other fans perfectly. I noticed it's a bit thinner. The Antec fan is 30MM thick and the Xigmatek one is 20MM thick. I don't suppose that would be a problem, would it? And will I be able to remove all of the casefans without any problems? They top and rear fans are connected to a fancontroller in the back, and the front ones each have their own fancontroller, so I figured that could cause some problems with removing the fans.

yes you should be able to run then lower when using a fan controller as it alters the voltage goin to the fan itself

i use a nesteq fanmax in my rig and its perfect,they are quite loud tho them fans but they do move air lol

replacing the 200mm fan shouldent be a problem if the fan spacing is the same,it should be lol

and no removing the fans wont have any issues at all them fan controllers are just there you could use them on anyfans

Well they're both 200MM fans, the only difference in dimensions is the thickness. 20mm on the xiggy and 30mm on the antec, so I should be fine, right?

Edit: Guess not. I noticed the Xigmatek fan doesn't move as much air as the Antec one. Will the pressure in my case still be okay?

Are there any other 200MM fans out there? I only know of the cooler master ones, the antec one and the xigmatek one.

Do the slip stream fans generate decent static pressure? I'm looking for some not all that expensive fans (rules out the P12 right there ) that will do a good job of cooling my CPU combined with the Mega Shadow.

Edit: nvm. I ordered the fans and a Scythe Kaze Master Pro fancontroller.

I have 4 of the 1900rpm slipstreams in my case. The only noise coming from them is the massive amount of air they pull in and push out. I love the fans and the noise doesn't bother me at all. My graphics cards are louder than they are.

i think if the H70 is any good ile pick up some slipstreams 1900rpm's just as the noctua vairients dont do it justace

Oh hey word of advice, if you use the Slipstreams on the side door or right next to a grill your going to have to modify the grill or cut it out preferably. They move so much air that you will get a whining noise from them sucking in so much air through the grill. If you have a fan grill with rounded edges you should be fine though.

I would suggest getting the S-flex F models instead of the slipstreams. Slipstreams are great high flow case fans but lack on pressure needed on a heartsink or rad.
