I had a question about the differences between Jmicron/AMD/Intel SATA host controllers... i've heard bad stuff about Jmicron and whatnot, although, I'm unsure of what the differences are. My mobo has 6x SATA 6gb/s ports and 2x SATA 3gb/s ports, where the Jmicron is the 3gb/s. Should I just connect what I need to connect to all my AMD SB950 SATA ports? What's the difference between placing it in either one of those slots?
Extended: I ordered an SSD, got it yesterday, failed after a few hours, tried everything and BIOS could not detect it, is it because a BIOS update? I own a ASUS M5A99X EVO, where they had a BIOS update 2 days ago, where I installed the SSD the same day, could that have been an issue? Although, I did place it in my laptop and it still wasn't able to be recognized, tried a HDD dock as well, nothing detected. Could BIOS issues caused that?
