Sata 3 with Sata 2 drive problem

Hey guys,

I have have 3 on this MSI mobo but when i pluged a sata 2 drive into it the drive made a strange noise and windows didnt find it? but with sata 2 it works fine.. any ideas? do I have to enable or disable something?

are they F3 spinpoints?

some MSI mobos dont like them. i had the same problem

try using different cables

Yeh, I think they are.. I think even the corsair case dont like it as the hot swop didnt find anything as well... I will try a diffrent cable ty
