Hello People of the :oc3d: Forums

My System specs:

i5-3570k
8gb Corsair Vengeance
7970 Sapphire dual-x OC
Corsair 600t white
MSI z77a-g45
Corsair H60
Crucial M4 64GB SSD
WD Green 1tb HDD
Some Seagate 200GB HDD
Corsair TX650M V2

My issue. When on my PC the monitor randomly loses signal, monitor goes black and flashes white or glitches out. This is happening when playing games, PC is idle or when i'm just using it to watch videos...it can happen at any time.

What I have done.

I have checked the tempreture of the GPU and CPU whilst stress testing. All are fine. GPU reached 74degress C maximum, CPU was around 65-70. So all is fine.

Updated the motherboard bios version. Updated the GPU driver to beta 13.2 and tried older ones such at 12.10 ect. Checked windows was installed properly. Even did the windows repair. Found nothing wrong.

Sooo last night I decided to put my Sapphire ToXic 4870 in the system. Booted it and reinstalled the AMD driver. Haven't had a single crash since...

I will soon run memtest 86+ whilst sleeping

Is it the power supply not being able to cope with the system for some strange reason or is the 7970 on its last legs?

Advice and help would be awesome.
