SanDisk Announces 48-Layer 3D NAND

Sandisk have just announced they they have developed their own version of Samsung's 3D NAND, allowing them to place more memory on a single die than ever before as well as giving power consumption and memory speed benefits.

Samsung wasn't the first to come up with it.. its been in R&D for many companies for a while. Samsung was just the first to come out with it..

Also related news to this. Intel and Micron's partnership also allowed them to release new details on their sample of 48 layer 3d nand.. Was also announced this morning.
