Ive just got a pair of Samsung T240's to replace my trusty Asus Mw221u's.

Loving them, massive on my desk and the quality is great but I have a small but somewhat annoying issue.

When you power them on (I leave mine on standby but you get the idea)

1 the light stays on 1 the light goes off

so they dont do the same thing which I thought was odd, any one else got one so I know which one is not doing the right thing!

I've got a 2443BW and the light turns off when putting it in standby. When not recieving a signal it does a 1-2s on 1-2s off cycle.

my 2nd monitor basically the button only lights up when you touch it, where as the first one, when its on the light stays on.

hey tom! i know you are doin a dual display right? have you tried runnin them independently to see if they still flash differently?

No I havnt sammy, just strange as my old Asus's worked fine in together. Cant see why it would make them act different?

There are both correct

Tom in the setting of the monitor you can tell it if you what the light on or off (5 x levels of brightness) ..

Menu ,

5th option down on left hand side

scroll down to Led Brightness then select.

Turn up or down has 5 settings. this turns it off or on up in 5 levels.

LOOL.... inspiration right there my friend ;)...

....ttl how are the quality of the screens in comparison to others you have used ?

I had a pair of Asus MW221u's befor and I thought they were great, I had them dimmed for long use though as they hurt my eyes.

Ive not touched these yet and quality ect is awesome. Have to say though 24"x2 was a touch overkill, only really went up a size for games, and the ever increasing need to lengthen my e-willy :p

how are you finding these now over the period of use you had.

Ive given mine to my daughter as i cannot read some of the text on this forum and replaced it with a Acer which i find reading text is better. How ever game play wise the Sammy won hand over heal.

The Sammy's rule, my old asus used to give me head aches, but even though these are birghter, they are clearer and I dont get any issues. Really was a great investment.

Every LCD at home is Samsung and for good reason ;)

weve got 3 sammy n the home the main tv and my and now my daughters.

All so got a Samsung 19" tv / PC screen thast just been replaced by samsung but its sitting doing nothing.

I think i need to go get some glasses ... its about time i did.
