Remember, no matter how fast your storage is, your CPU still has to crunch those numbers. Go through your startup programs and services and get rid of all the non essentials.

If it's been recently installed (like very recently) then Windows could still be installing updates which for me cripples boot and shutdown times.

Believe it or not got the full system to shutdown AND reboot with all apps etc loaded up in 45-50 secs so actual boot time now under Windows 7x64 Pro is less than half what it was under windows 10x64

I'd have one tomorrow if they only came with a black PCB or some sort of cover, I just couldn't have a slab of green sat in the middle of the motherboard teasing me.

They're tiny - you wouldn't notice it.
Plus you can't see the green due to the stickers on it

Yeah, but you get it in black, in a box, with a longer warranty. All of those things are worth paying for.

Not sure about the box but the warranty for sure.

It certainly looks prettier but they're tiny and it won't be seen in my board if I add an expansion card

I thought they'd forgotten to pack my 951 when I unpacked my bundle - thought it was a bag of screws - I know it's oem but really, a little bit of packaging wouldn't hurt for the money.

Does the job though

Sits flush on my board, takes no room - no need for drive cages - really looks like next gen tech.
