Samsung Note 5

Samsung are set to release their latest model in the Note series, the Note 5 later this year. Although we're probably a long while off getting any official word from Samsung on their latest flagship model in the Note series, we thought we'd compile any rumours and potential "leaks" in one place as well as anything solid.

At this time, the Samsung Note 5 is expected to release in the third quarter of 2015 with a Snapdragon 810 CPU in the Western world paired with a hefty 4GB of RAM.

A potential huge leap in storage capacities, their are rumours that the Note 5 as well as Apple's iPhone 7 will be released with 256GB of storage, meaning you will have no trouble in keep all your pictures, music and apps on this handset.

Also possible is that of a 4K Super AMLOED display, how effective this will be on such a "small" device is yet to be seen, but the size of the handset has not been confirmed yet either, so there may be a possible increase over 2014's 5.7" on the Note 4.

In 2014, Samsung released the Galaxy Alpha with a full metal body design to please those who were critical of a plastic body used in such high performance handsets like the Galaxy S5. This could mean the Note series also moves into a metal body design, but only time will reveal this.

Are you a Note user and looking to upgrade to the next model in the series, or are you going with one of the other top models due to be released in 2015 such as the HTC One M9 which you can find details about Here

They should ditch plastic phones, especially considering that they make their lowend phones out of the same stuff.

Agree but for whatever reason, the Alpha lost its waterproofing ability, whether that was just to keep costs down I don't know but I prefer having the waterproofing over a metal body design.

The smart phone market doesn't make any sense to me... I mean more could you possibly cram in a smart phone. Phones end up having hardware that aren't even beeing used to the full potential not to mention the other important thing... You fellas should optimise the OS you are using because last time I checked it is fucking shit, it begs for it to be custom rom'd

Samsung need to realise that plastic phones are unappealing. They feel cheap and it was the main reason why I ditched mine for a HTC.

They've made some improvements in the aesthetic department, but they have quite a ways to go before I consider another Samsung device.

Heres the thing though, most consumers purchase on the basis that more is better. Getting a new phone constantly is really just about bragging rights like many other things in life.

I personally like the xperia z series design. Looks lovely.
