Samsung Counter-sues Nvidia

Samsung isn't taking NVIDIA's patent lawsuit lying down. The y has counter-sued NVIDIA not just for allegedly infringing on six patents, but for cheating in benchmarks for the Shield Tablet.

Its hypocritical of Samsung but it'll be interesting to see if they are right. Mainly 'cause Nvidia's phone processors aren't that popular.

Fuck that. Samsung won their lawsuit against apple and thought that they can just sue everybody in the hardware section... I don't like how they are playing now...
A war could have started between AMD and NVIDIA about "doctoring" the benchmarks but it just hasn't happend (yet)

Expected really. I didn't think it was a good idea for Nvidia to pick a fight with a company as huge as Samsung is, but it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

It's a broken system really.

If you just AMD and Nvidia for instance, AMD has patents that Nvidia infringes upon, but at the same time Nvidia has patents AMD infringes upon. But they can't really sue each other because they'll just be hit with a counter lawsuit in response.

Doesn't really mean much for the big companies, but the small startups are easily sued out of existence by big corporations. Definitely not good for competition.

its a joke, patent infringement is rife in many industries. It only comes to lawsuits when someone gets but hurt about one thing or another
