S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Glitchy Graphics

I have been enjoying stalker recently.. an amazing game.

BUT... does anyone else have the problem with the shadows? They distort but only around the edge of the screen.

The shodows in the middle of the screen are fine.

I also seem to always have a black shadow following me in the bottem corners of the screen.

Lots of glitchy lighting as well.

It is annoying me.. Anyone know about or know how to fix this?

There are 3 patches for this game, maybe more now. D/L them all and install if you haven't.

I don't have a link but a quick google will sort you out. The site i used was the slowest ever though!

I grabbed myself version 1.0005(lastest) and I still get the problems..

Ill get you guys a piccar of the shadows.. give me a sec.

Been looking into changing those kinda settings.. but I am having no performance issues, very smooth running game in my opinion.

It is just the shadows got spazz.. trying to get a piccar now.

Look closely and you can see what I have circled.. (good old paint)

The first piccar attempts to show you my black shadow follwer... and the seconded is just a distorstion of the shadows towards me.

I know it looks like I am being picky.. but it does get annoying when the POV is moving seeing as the shadows distort and move with it.

Is your GPU overclocked? If not it's probably juast the disagreement STALKER has with 8 series cards

Yeah, it is overclocked..

Ill lower it and see what happens.
