Has anyone done it? If so how.. I plan to add another radiator to my PC system soon, and I was thinking of adding one to the roof of the PC, but not sure how to do it, eyeing the case up I really can't see even how the "RadSupport09" would even help...

Heeeelp!

hi mate

I mounted an XSPC RS240 rad in the top of my TJ07. Although I cannot take credit for it as the real talent came from Tom over at Chilled PC who has done numerous roof mounting mods for this case. He can even mod the case to take a triple up top. I can personally vouch for his level of expertise - I am a total n00b when it comes to modding but he sent me through all the necessary bits to attach the rad to a modded mesh and even sent me instructions with pictures in an email - what a legend!

If you want any more info just ask!

EDIT: I have not posted 15 yet so cant give you a URL. Just google "chilledpc.co.uk" and you'll find the right page under "modding services".

I have a 360mm radiator in my roof but it wasn't easy and there are problems.

What ever radiator you buy it is not the length (ie 120, 240, 360, 480) that is the problem, it is the depth. A PA120.3 is hugely deep and if mounted in my cage would have hit the motherboard on its own without fans. I run a StealthGT 360mm radiator because it is the thinnest radiator I could find but the fans being the same depth again now encroach upon the motherboard so I had to trim the shroud and fan blades to miss the capacitors and stuff.

The major problem was caused by the fact I have a high end board (Striker II). If I'd bought a normal one my heatsinks would have been smaller and I'd of had less stuff cluttering the top.

So take the measurement of your motherboard for clearance then look at the space left over. I did mine with cardboard to check.

Yer, theres next to no clearance between the fan at the bottom of my XSPC rad and the top of my Asus P5K-E Wifi mobo. I would definately recommend researching it though I managed to shave more than 10c off my temps both idle and under load so it is worth it!
