Robocop 2014....

Now I'm a massive sci fi nut but after seeing this I just want to sit down and cry... What have they done! The 87' Original was a timeless classic along with Robocop II the less said about the 3rd film the better but why did they have to try and remake the classic... and why does he still have his right hand??

Also my personal view the original Peter Weller death scene was while violent it was also pivotal to the plot.

EDIT:
Peter Wellers reaction to the new film.

I'm not sold on this flick so I'm hoping Tom Cruise doesn't let us down with Edge of Tomorrow.

One thing that annoys me is that his right hand is bare, Looks very out of place.

Yeah it's bugging me too

Also love Wellers reaction when he says "There should be 25 films that aren't allowed to be remade" and that they are brave to take on this film.

does it hurt.. does it hurt?

the cg i seen earlier looked almost as bad as the stuff out of matrix reloladed or blade2, hope it was just a rough cut

I'll never forget Robocop was the first R rated movie that me and my cousin seen in the theater.

I think this movie is going to be about like the Conan the Barbarian remake. It will not be a particularly bad movie, if it was called something else besides the original name. No mater how good it is, it will always live in the shadow of the original.

As bad as I hate to say it, Star Trek is the only remake that really lit my fire. I think because they almost cloned the original cast while adding some glitz and glitter.

It's supposed to it takes place in an alternate reality, Spock explains it to Kirk before they find Scotty on the Ice Planet.
