RiP RIVE: Lights on but no one home? Thoughts?

My rampage iv extreme motherboard has very strangely decided to die on me today after 7 months of it being 100% stable. Tried 2 other PSU's, tried with 1 stick of ram, cleared cmos and nothing works. The start and reset button light up but the machine doesn't power on what so ever. It did once then cycled on and off repeatedly with the fans spinning for a second then off again. I then turned the PSU off, turned it on again and then nothing.. The start and reset button LEDs are on but it just won't power on.

Just to note:

That yesterday I was on the PC most of the day, and some of last night without a single issue! Turned it on this morning and nothing was happening. I checked and rechecked about 6 times all the connections, use a bright LED torch to check all the connectors and pins and all is fine. Tested PSU out of the case and it's fine.

I've noticed a couple of people on here have had the issue and seems that once they had RMA'd the board and got a new one, all was working again.

I've done nothing special to the PC at all, hasn't been moved, had no new hardware added since i built it, has next to no dust in the case, everything is seated correctly. Checked all the standoff's and all is normal.

Here are some threads from other people with a similar issue I am currently experiencing.

The last link is most common to mine, but all are much the same issue for me.

Now i personally think the board has crapped itself and I am in need of a replacement. I still got 3-4 months left on my 1 year warranty from the store i bought it from. Would i be best off dealing with them or ASUS directly? All i need is a replacement, no need for a refund or anything like that.

Thoughts?

I am absolutely gutted!

Those links give me a 404 error. Have you checked your CPU? Is it well seated? A dead CPU or if it is not seated properly can cause a similar problem.

Oh is it? That's odd

try this one which is more like my issue.

Yes i've basically ripped it all apart, put the mobo on a bench, reseated the CPU checked all the pins, seated all as it should be.

I don't think it would be a CPU issue, as it's been running perfectly fine for 7 months 100% stable.

My opinion is if you somehow wake up board once and enter in BIOS after that everything will be OK. Try to remove battery on few hours, remove all cables from PSU and motherboard and leave few hours, remove and RAM and graphic card...
Check CPU and CPU leave in socket, install cooler easy and grace and than connect, hold power button long long time... maybe you somehow wake up board...
People talk that is one of 3-4 best motherboards of all times...

I mean hold power button on motherboard and later try and on case.
If you no luck with that then ask for RMA...
Good luck!
