Hey guys, I need help on my first ever build, now I just want to know if this is gonna be enough for overclocking, good fps, temperature, stuff like that. And just anything that you guys think needs changed, althought I am already just over my initial budget with this.

Asus TA-8H1, Midi Tower Case

Intel Core i5 760 (4 x 2.8GHz) 8MB

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - Silent

Corsair 4GB XMS3 PC3-12800 1600MHz (1x4GB)

ATI Radeon HD 5870 - 1 GB (XFX)

Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 (Intel H55)

Corsair Gaming Series 600W PSU

500 GB SATA-II 16MB

For an i5 760 you might want to ramp up the cooling a bit. D-14 you'll be able to get the maximum overclock out of the CPU

650W Corsair CMPSU-650TXUK TX, 86% Eff', SLI/CrossFire, 37dB, EPS 12V, 120mm Quiet Fan, Single Rail

500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS Barracuda 7200.12, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache, 9.5 ms, NCQ

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, Operating System, Single, - OEM

1GB XFX HD 5870, PCI-E 2.1, 4800MHz GDDR5, GPU 850MHz, 1600Cores, DP/ DVI/ HDMI, Aliens vs Predator

Edimax GN-621U, USB 2.0, 300MB/s, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 Ghz, Wireless Adaptor

Ive came up with this now, but I need a case that will be compatible with this stuff, cheap as possible, and as this is my first build, I am curious if I need anything else, like any extra cables, if so which ones that will be compatible with this.

no idea what that is not gonna lie, I dont have an amazing knowledge on parts, just enough to get by alot of the time

Intel are currently replacing the 1156 socket motherboard and chips with 1155 motherboard and chips, so make sure you get the new stuff.

Whatever you do don't get the freezer 7 pro my friend got it yesterday and its louder then a jet fighter.. He says it cools ok though

Yeah id just wait a few days in my opinion for some reviews and benchmarks from the new sandy bridge cpus. Intel's newest processor family.

But aren't Intel going to limit the amount of overclock you get from a Sandy Bridge CPU forcing you to get one of their unlocked chips?

yeah but when will the sandy bridge chips be out, cause I was planning to order before the 4th cause of the VAT rise, and if they are going to limit it then I would probably be better off with the old i5 760 would I not?

I think Sandy Bridge comes out on the 9th?
