Retail staff reports high levels of mining performance on AMD's RX Vega

Not a good start for anyone at launch but just think about the lovely cheap abused cards that'll be going in a few months time when the currency crashes.

The problem is people keep say the Crypto Mining thing is going to collapse again like it did in 2013. That happened really fast. Now people have been chanting the mantra of collapse since the latest craze started in early May. Yes there have been fluctuations but nothing resembling a collapse on the horizon these days

Good for AMD. Maybe that will trickle down to us gamers as well in time.

If the numbers reported for Vega are correct not only is the card faster than the Polaris cards it is also more energy efficient. This will put pressure on the existing Miners to dump their Polaris Cards and upgrade to Vega. If AMD is up to putting out Vega Cards in numbers we could see Polaris Cards again, this time popping up on the used market.

While second-hand cards on the market is not good for AMD, I'd wager they want to sell more Vega GPU's than Polaris GPU's, which will probably be phased out or rebadged once Vega 11 comes out.

according to gamers nexus the 56 is being released mid September a good few weeks after the 64, and thats not just the aftermarket cards. so i guess we will see if miners scoop up all founders 64's

I do not believe it is called founders. It's just Vega 64 or 56
Here's to hoping Miners do not screw it up

Yeah, it makes sense for the Vega 56 card to be released mid-September 'cause that's when AIB partner cards will be released and I don't think there is a reference edition for the 56 variant.
