PCInpact came to know that GeForce 7950 GX2, a revised version of the 7900 GX2 shorter in length so they can be fitted into most cases will be launched on May 30th. We have confirmed the launch date too but pricing is unknown yet. Another exciting technology, the SLI Physics will be available in second half of this year when the games are ready for it. We have also heard that G80 will not be in time for launch this Computex as it is slated for a later date.

Interesting stuff - all I need now a dual CPU mobo that will take two FX60's and personal nuclear powerpack to run it!!

Dell managed to sell all of their $10 000 quad sli machines in 3 days, so there seems to be a market for it (though they wont say how many they sold so it might be a very small one).

You want a dual Conroe board Mav ;)

I don't, I already got 3x Fx60's here (well I lent one to me old pal Scorchio) and the Conroe board (based on rev2 975 chipsets) I think lends itself to crossfire not SLI multi GPU AFAIK.

Apparently Dell only made 31 Renegades.

Personally I find it highly suspicious that no-one has been allowed to release a proper review of these cards. Given that they are clocked at a lower rate (500/600 GPU/Mem compared to 650/800 for a GTX) it seems quite possible that Quad-SLI offers minimal gains over dual and maybe even poorer performance in some cases - remember the 512MB 6800 that performed worse due to slower memory?

Found this

The inq reports specs are:

Nvidia are using the cores from the mobile version of the 7900 and clocks are reduced to 500mhz per card becuase teh power consumtion at 650mhz would be too high.

Edited and link removed.
