i was a bit late getting through my driving test and my main mode of transport was my bike, but it was also my play thing, so i spent a fair amount of money on it. i had to rely on it to go to work on in the week, and dirt jumping and downhilling (for fun, not competitive) on weekends, as such the bike evolved from basic, to a full suspension frame, ending up with a tough little dirt-jumping frame.
This was 12 years ago, making most of the hardware on it rather old now, but a couple of weeks ago i decided i wanted to take it on another journey and bought a new xc frame, stripped everything, cleaned re greased, and almost everything is as good as it was 10 years ago, the specs are,
mavic d521's on deore hubs, hand built
hope dh4 front brake
avid juicy 3.5 rear brake (new, old brake was a cable disc)

i still want to replace the stem, and shorten the seatpost, but im happy with it for now, i just need to get me out on it and clock up some miles
