Reset cable a bit short

Anyone else got a gaming 6 in a 750d ?
I recently installed one and found the reset cable to be roughly 10mm too short. It reaches the pins on the board but only at full stretch and if I'm honest, I think it's bending the pins. I've had a couple of random issues with windows not restarting properly and the white hdd light flashing at one second intervals for no apparent reason. Other than that it's all good, just wondering if anyone else has similar issues.
Not the most mind boggling problem to throw at the forums but since I started buying the right gear, this is the best I can come up with !

Can always buy an extension cable, I think Bitfenix does a few nicely braided ones.

Don't think I've ever seen the other side of a reset button, the cables fairly easy to re wire ?

Don't need to mate, they are literally a cable that you plug into your existing one to make it longer and then the end of the extension plugs into the motherboard.

Comes nicely braided and in all sorts of colours.
