reservoir question

hello people i just wanted to ask for your advice on using a EK Res x2 250 on side

quite a few people have said they i could run in to issues buy doing this so i thought id ask you lot. as i have seen quite a few builds where people have used the same sort of reservoir on its side so im finding it hard to see why i would have any or many issues

i have been told that it can cause airlocks in the res, leaking from the seals (although i find this hard to see) and poor flow to pump

The main problem i see is that the main reason for a res is to ensure the pump is fed with coolant at all times. With the res on its side the outlet is not the lowest point. This will make the loop hard to fill and bleed and it has the potential of causing the pump to suck air and run dry (burnning it).

It is not impossible, it will just make the loop harder to maintain as you have to ensure the res remains full at all times.
