Update for Windows Vista (KB938979)
Update for Windows Vista (KB932596)
I've just installed the latest edition of Vista x64 released in October and apparantly from a bit of internet detective work they're preventing me from overriding my usbport.sys file because of these updates. Previously I could clock my polling rate for my mouse to 500hz by replacing the usbport.sys file with an 3rd party edited file.
Since these hotfixes are embedded into the OS and I haven't physically downloaded and installed them is there any way to remove them and go back to the previous configuration, allowing me to change my usbport file?
