Hello fellow fodlers, not been folding recently due to being away from the machine alot but have stumbled accross a program that might help

it is called LogMeIn

have a google of it, i was even using it to play a game, well play on the Auction House and buy things

have a looksie, it might come in handy for the travelling folder if you own a iphone/Ipad or use it on another computer

Hi Yeren.

I've not had experience of LogMeIn but i've used Radmin/RDP/VMView and something people might want to know is that if you hook a graphics driver (something which is necessary when using any remote desktop solution) it can screw your GPU folding up.

Like I said though i've not used LogMeIn, and i'm not crapping on the idea because I investigated it myself, just something to watch out for if any folding GPU snags appear.

Cheers
Lee

oh no,

i found it this morning and was playing with it, thought i might share it and see what others thought of it

Like I said i'm not knocking mate, I haven't tried that particular remote admin tool. Just something to be aware of if you're testing it. I would still be interested if you don't run into the snags I did.

Logmein is really very good for remote support. Another option is gosupportnow. It is easy to use and costs only $19.95 / month.

Another one to check out is teamviewer; it's free for personal use and also has an ipad/iphone app.

I've been using LogMeIn for years. It's a brilliant tool. Unfortunately it doesn't support Ubuntu Linux. I wish there was a way to remotely access Ubuntu. If anybody knows how to set it up, I'd appreciate a link or a guide

I have also been using Logmein for years, i no have 1 pro account and about 30 free ones. it really is the best remote access tool there is.

I also have the iphone and ipad apps and they too work fantastically well.

I use team viewer also, but i mainly use teamviewer alongside Logmein so i can log another user into the same machine, both remotely, at the same time.

Team viewer sometimes has trouble displaying the mouse curser on their iphone app.

Ive also used splashtop, they used to reqire you to have a gmail account. To be honest splashtop was a lot of hype but didnt really deliver for me. They claimed it could stream HD video remotely, but it was a little bit pointless because all the buffering was rubbish.

Logmein is my fav, ive not tried gotomypc or any others because ive never had to look further since finding it.
