Registry Cleaning

Evening all,

I am on the search for a registry cleaning type program which gets rid of all keys which point to nothing, key which point to network files and any other crap.

Anyone had any experience? I have tried Registry Fix, Ccleaner and Advanced Optimizer. I am looking for something a little more brutal. ;)

Thanks!

I have no issues with it either.. but I still find registry keys that point to nothing.. or are completely useless.

Just tested the Registry Mechanic trial and it seems good so far.. got rid of a good few keys that according to it was rubbish.

Googling Tune-Up now.. thanks for the suggestion! - Looks quite impressive but quite expensive. :o

i've used a few in the past pconpoint is good, registry mechanic i use with caution, for the past few months i've stuck to Uniblue software, their registry cleaner is excellent, as is their speedupmypc software, the spycleaner is good but takes time to scan.

definitely mate, you'll be amazed with the amount of errors in your registry. another good one i used for years is error repair pro, probably one of the best.

As with all registry programs use with caution as they can screw up your pc.

i understand that it may fix the errors, just wanted to know if you noticed any difference once the errors were fixed.

Forgive me, I'm still a new member to the forums so I can't post links yet.

Have you ever tried anything from Macecraft? It's not free, but a demo is available. Plus it's all Server 2008/Vista/64bit compatible.

I myself have been using Tune-Up utilities since 2004-5?. Great program with some amazing features, download the demo for 30 days from their website.

Purchase after if you like it, this was a piece of software in which I actually invested my own money into.
