recomendations

i am looking for recommendation for a pump an res, as i will be getting them bought as chrimbo stuff. i don't want a bay res as the the 5 1/2" bays are in use, and it has to fit in a arc midi r2 with a monsta rad in the front (with push pull).

XSPC have the photon 170/270 D5 res/pump combo, and by all reports that works great.
I have also heard good things about the EK D5 pump/tube res, but I haven't really researched that one too much.
Everything I have heard indicates to stay away from the Koolance tube however, there were (as I understand it) some issues with the tops...

A few weeks ago I bought my self the EK-D5 X-RES 140, with a Alphacool VPP655 vario pump.

This tube-res pump combo is really nice.

Top EK build quality and a nice flexible dampening mounting system.

You can use almost every rpm on the pump, without loud resonance coupling to the case.

You can mount it with the Bitspower reservior mounting set, or the Alphacool pump mount universal for 120-140mm fans/radiators directly to the radiator.
