Reasons NOT to buy Windows 8

One reason; Metro UI.
T Most users cant just switch to Mac due to finances, and it's not like you can just install Mac OS onto a PC (legally anyway) so there isnt really an alternative. Please no one say linux is a viable alternative :)

This is bullcrap.

I don't know :P
He gives it to almost all of his friends, I find it rather strange too, but as long as it's free, I'm not asking questions xd

Dude ask for W7...

That's it takes them 3 years (6 if you count the time taken to make the previous version) to actually make a new OS that works ;)
They're basically free to make whatever they like. Most users cant just switch to Mac due to finances, and it's not like you can just install Mac OS onto a PC (legally anyway) so there isnt really an alternative. Please no one say linux is a viable alternative :)

Linux is the future, I have used it for ages. Steam will be coming to linux shortly. A lack popular proprietary software is the only disadvantage to linux. In terms of UI and easy of use linux is the king. Of course that is dependent on distros.

Did you watch that video?

No I did not, because i think that guy is a retard.

EDIT: EULA doesn't mean shit, atleast in Denmark and i believe even the EU, if they were to sue you for it. The fact of the matter is you own that copy of software, you could reverse engineer it, you could make as many copies as you wanted, you could do anything with it, as long as it is not against the law, I.E sharing a cracked copy of the software in question or similar.

Can we forget the legality of things...

It is legal yes, if you buy the software then you are free to run it however you like. It's not like anyone is ever going to sue you for it...
BUT - do you lot really want to be running some form of 'hackintosh' on your PC? They've purposely made it incompatible, but then for someone to obtain the software, edit it for us on computer and then distribute the program freely online is illegal. So unless you're prepared to 'hack' it yourself, I dont really see the legality behind it. Plus, I highly doubt that the people who are wanting to do this will go out and buy the legal copy of MAC OS before downloading the hacked versions anyway...

Still - back to my original point - Do you really want to be running a hacked version of an OS anyway? It's not just like the many hacks of windows around that just activate the software... The 'hackintosh' software fundamentally changes the base code of the OS, and I'd rather not have my OS of the computer being half made by some enthusiast - I'd rather have one of the biggest companies in the world doing it and get either Windows - or buy a Mac.

I dont really care too much for the legalities of things. No one will ever catch you for using software such as hackintosh, and even if they did I'm very sure they wouldnt take it far enough to sue people. It's more of a moral standpoint on things to me - so if you honestly believe it's legal and you're happy to do it, then that's absolutely fine - but please don't tell others that they should think the same way - especially as you even say yourself that there is even the slightest possibility of being sued.
